1. Lab Reporting & Data Analyst
Role: The Reporting/Data Analyst for Lab Applications supports core functions of the hospital's laboratory systems by designing and the developing complex reporting solutions that support the operational and management needs of various lab functions and user groups. This includes Orders and Results data from the core Epic EMR, chemical lab accessions from Epic Beaker, anatomical pathology lab accessions from PowerPath, and blood transfusions from SafeTrace TX.
This individual will provide operational support of existing lab related reports and analytical solutions across the above spectrum of lab systems. They will also work with team members, users, and others to triage reporting and analytics requests, define requirements, design, develop and deploy high-quality reporting solutions that meet current and future foreseeable user needs utilizing SHC's tools, infrastructure, and existing reporting and analytical solutions. These solutions will be largely built as SAP Crystal Reports or WebIntelligence Reports querying Epic Clarity or data marts within SHC's Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW).
Understanding of the core functions, data structures, and data integration among Epic Beaker, PowerPath, Rhodes, SafeTraceTX, and other supporting laboratory systems. Experience developing reports/SQL queries/extracts from the “required” lab applications listed below and at least 2 of the other listed applications:
* Epic Clarity Orders/Results data model (required)
* Epic Clarity Beaker data model
* SafeTrace TX
* Rhodes Analytics
Must be proficient with developing reporting/analytical solutions using Crystal Reports, SAP WebIntelligence (universe and report development), SQL (in both SQL Server and Oracle environments), and SQL development tools (Oracle SQL Developer, Visual Studio, SQL Server Management Studio, etc.), as well as data warehousing concepts, ETL practices, and related tools.
As part of a team, must be able to take and act well upon high-level guidance, work independently to complete solutions, and effectively engage/collaborate with users and other team members at appropriate times to meet objectives and SLA's for support related activities.
